About

Born and raised in Chile to Peruvian parents, I went to an American school and got my BA in English and Creative Writing in the UK (Royal Holloway, University of London), so I am fluent in both Spanish and English.
While I currently work as a graphic designer and social media manager, my passion and dream has always been writing.

My Writing

Inspired by the books I favored growing up, I long to write adventurous, romantic, and hopeful coming-of-age stories set in magical worlds.
One of my fondest memories from university is noticing that in a room filled with eleven people, everyone had a different nationality. It felt mind-blowing that so many cultures, areas of the world, and languages could come together and share an experience in such a harmonious, enriching way. I want the stories I write to give that same feeling of hope and unity, with diverse characters and an emphasis on friendships.

Though I'm working on multiple stories, I'm currently querying Desert Blue Star. Set in a Wild West inspired location, in a secondary world where magic is forbidden but quietly rampant, a group of people sets off on a dangerous quest across the desert.
Sierra Izidro is a tour guide and tracker who needs money to keep a damning secret hidden. She's the Town Marshal's daughter, and a quiet loner who longs to belong.
Colten Ellsworth, a rich foreigner with a penchant for photography, would rather spend his summer anywhere but traversing a sweltering desert. Tasked with caring for his adventurous grandfather, he must cede to the old man's wishes—but he won't do it without a little attitude.
Min Chen has one aim in life after her older brother's death: to keep her parents and her other five siblings safe. A famed gunslinger and member of a prestigious gambling group, she's got all the bravado to do so. But when her little brother falls off the sky with wings on his back and a life-long condition healed by what can only be magic, she finds there are some things too difficult for even her to solve on her own.
Together, the three of them and their motley crew will have to face sandstorms, skeletal monsters, soul-sucking shadows, metal-feathered birds, mercenaries using magic in impossible ways, and even endure a makeover. Learning to trust each other is the only way for them all to get what they want—but the desert is a treacherous thing, and it likes to play games.
